Arrival — Dambulla — Sigiriya

Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa
Scale the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress at sunrise — a 5th-century sky palace atop a 200-metre granite monolith. Admire the cloud maiden frescoes and panoramic views across the island's heartland. Then cycle through the remarkably preserved medieval capital of Polonnaruwa, where stone Buddhas and royal palaces stand as testament to a thousand years of civilisation.
Sigiriya — Kandy
Journey south to Sri Lanka's spiritual heart. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens, and witness an evening of traditional Kandyan dance — fire-walking, drumbeats, and centuries-old choreography brought to vivid life in the hill capital.
Kandy — Nuwara Eliya
Climb into the cool, colonial-era hill station of Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by manicured tea estates and misty peaks. This highland town — known as "Little England" — retains the charm of a bygone era. Visit a working tea factory to learn the art of Ceylon tea and explore the town's colonial architecture.
Horton Plains & World's End
Rise before dawn for one of Sri Lanka's most dramatic hikes. Trek through the cloud forest of Horton Plains National Park to World's End — a sheer cliff plunging 880 metres with panoramic views stretching to the southern coast on a clear morning. Return through Baker's Falls and the moss-draped woodland.
Nuwara Eliya — Ella
Board the legendary highland railway for one of the world's most scenic journeys — rattling through tunnels, across soaring viaducts, and past waterfalls draped in mist. The carriage windows frame an ever-changing canvas of emerald tea plantations and mountain peaks as you wind your way to Ella.
Ella
Greet the sunrise from Little Adam's Peak, hiking through a patchwork of tea plantations as the valley slowly illuminates below. Spend the afternoon at the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, watching the blue train cross its stone arches — a scene etched into every traveller's memory of Sri Lanka.
Ella — Yala
Pause at the thundering Ravana Waterfall — a curtain of white water crashing through the jungle — before descending to the dry plains of Yala. An afternoon safari through dense scrubland and coastal lagoons offers your first encounter with the Sri Lankan leopard, elephants, and exotic birdlife.
Yala Safari
Devote a full day to the wild.
